Did you know that spending five straight days entertaining and socializing and smiling is really, really tiring?

Of course you did. I did too, but had somehow forgotten. Even the happiest weekend of my entire life exhausted me. Damn, being happy is tiring. Seriously.

So, so many things to say. I'm still gathering thoughts and slowly compiling stuff for the wedding site. There won't be much there until I get more pictures; I don't want to wait for the professional shots but I at least want to scan some of the contact sheets. There were about a thousand pictures taken (and that's only a slight exaggeration) so I'll have some stuff soon. I'm also writing up the readings and parts of the vows and stuff like that. I want to tell you about the whole day. The whole weekend.

It was absolutely perfect, though. That's what you need to know right now, and what I remember more than anything else. Nothing went wrong. It couldn't have been better. I was the luckiest bride ever - beautiful day, everyone showed up, fabulous food and service. Adorable chocolate mice. My nearest and dearest gathered around me. My hands in Greg's.

God, it was perfect. It was the dream wedding. It was Anne and Gilbert in the orchard being married by Mr. Allen with their closest friends and family encircling them.

I'm asking patience, both of you and of myself. This will come slowly but rest assured, it will come. In the meantime, I'm trying to get some good sleep, buying coffee tables for the living room, thinking about painting the dining room, and deciding on food for the party (if you have a cheap-ish appetizer that makes large quantities easily and doesn't need to be hot, please pass along the recipe). For now, here's another picture for you:

greg's face was twitching!

Greg's face was doing this weird twitching thing at first. I guess it was nerves. It was really cute, but also distracting. Luckily just a light touch settled the Rogue Nerve down.
